Anthem Worldwide’s New Jersey Office Moves
Manhattan-based TEK Architects Consulted on the Interior Design
MOUNT OLIVE, NJ, SEPTEMBER 17, 2007—Anthem Worldwide, the strategic design agency that blends innovation and efficiency to create high performance first-to-market brand solutions for Fortune 500 companies, today announced that its New Jersey office has moved into newly designed space inside the International Trade Center located in Mount Olive, New Jersey. Manhattan-based TEK Architects, the team behind the 2006 interior design of Anthem’s SoHo office, was consulted on the re-design of the third floor space occupied by the strategic design firm.
“Inspiration, illumination and integration,” is how Kari W. Lewis, managing director of Anthem’s New Jersey office sums up the realization of our new work environment. “It’s about making everything come together in a way that is intentional, balanced and fresh.”
“Once again, Charles Thanhauser’s team has brought the spirit of Anthem to life in a working environment that speaks of clarity, simplicity and openness,” noted Ron Vandenberg, chief creative officer of Anthem Worldwide.
TEK is the recipient of numerous design awards, has been widely published in the national and international design media and was featured in the Light Construction Exhibit at the Museum of Modern Art. TEK’s clients have included the Rockefeller Foundation, Martha Graham Dance Company, NASDAQ, the Holocaust Research Center and Archive, and the Manhattan flagship store for Maurice Villency. TEK Architects was founded on the principle that a varied and general practice of architecture is essential to achieve extraordinary design in unique and diverse situations.
“Our goal for the design of Anthem offices is to remain true to Anthem’s brand personality and to interpret it in a manner that reflects cultural or regional characteristics,” said Anne Marie Pagliacci, executive vice president and group managing director of Anthem Worldwide. “We want our offices to inspire, attract and invite in a way that speaks to the architectural character of a particular region.”
In addition to the aesthetics of the new space, the New Jersey office paid particular attention to incorporating eco-friendly solutions in the re-design. Shaw Contract Group’s Eco-Solution Q carpeting was used throughout the office, a product that has been optimized through the MDBC Design Protocol, ensuring it is safe for human health and the environment. With 25% recycled content and minimized use of materials, it helps ensure a sustainable future. The carpeting uses the EcoWorx backing system which is the industry’s first 100% sustainable, non-PVC tile backing system which was awarded the Presidential Green Chemistry Award by the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) for its environmental and performance benefits. Additionally, some existing furniture was re-purposed.
The new address and telephone number of Anthem’s New Jersey office, effective September 17, 2007, is: International Trade Center, 350 Clark Drive, Suite 300, Mount Olive, New Jersey, 07828. The new telephone number is 973.527.8100.
